Greg Valliere - Speaking Biography

For more than 30 years, Greg Valliere has advised institutional investors about how developments inside the Beltway affect financial markets. As the chief political strategist for the Potomac Research Group, he offers nonpartisan analysis of politics and economic policy, with an emphasis on the efforts by Congress and the White House to shape tax and spending policies.

Prior to joining Potomac Research, Mr. Valliere served as chief policy strategist for Soleil Securities Corporation and held key strategy roles at Charles Schwab’s Washington Research Group. He co-founded The Washington Forum in 1974, serving as chief political analyst and editor of the group’s publications, and ultimately as research director. He began his career in 1972 at F-D-C Reports, a trade publication monitoring the pharmaceutical industry. Mr. Valliere earned his bachelors degree in journalism from The George Washington University. He is a widely quoted analyst and an exclusive commentator for CNBC programs such as Squawk Box, Power Lunch, The Closing Bell, and Kudlow & Company.
