Ryan English spoke with Steve Watkins of the Cincinnati Business Courier about how online grocery sales are impacting Kroger.

Ryan English, investment manager and shareholder at Kenwood-based investment advisory firm Foster & Motley, and Tim Meyer, president and chief investment officer at Anderson Township-based Meyer Capital Management, both highlighted Kroger’s digital sales growth in its own right.
“The pandemic certainly accelerated the shift to online grocery (shopping) faster than anyone expected,” English told me.
Kroger’s online sales during its first quarter that ended May 23 soared 92%. And they topped 100% in the first three weeks of the second quarter.
