Amina Addington, Associate Financial Planner

"I believe true wealth is measured by its ability to provide lasting security, open doors to opportunity, and empower future generations to pursue their aspirations with purpose and assurance."

Amina Addington brings a deeply personal perspective to financial planning—one shaped by resilience, gratitude, and a commitment to helping others build secure futures. As the daughter of refugees, Amina grew up witnessing both the transformative power of financial stability and the challenges faced by families rebuilding their lives in a new country. These early experiences inspired her passion for financial literacy and her belief that everyone deserves access to thoughtful, empowering financial guidance.

Amina joined Foster & Motley after completing her academic journey at the University of Kentucky, where she earned a Master of Science in Finance. During her time at UK, she was part of the Student Managed Investment Fund (SMIF), a nearly $5 million portfolio managed by a select group of student analysts. Prior to graduate school, she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Political Science.

Now working as an Associate Financial Planner, Amina is actively pursuing her Certified Financial Planner™ (CFP®) designation. Her approach is rooted in empathy, education, and a deep respect for each client’s unique story. For Amina, financial planning is more than a career, it’s a way to honor her family’s journey and extend the opportunities they worked so hard to create. She brings a spirit of resilience and purpose to every client relationship, striving to make financial planning accessible, meaningful, and empowering.

Outside of work, Amina enjoys reading, hosting weekly game nights with friends and family, and baking sweet treats to share with loved ones. A devoted animal lover, she and her husband share their home with two cats, and she hopes to volunteer with animal rescue organizations in the Cincinnati area.
