Brad Soper has always been inquisitive by nature. Whether it was devouring Benjamin Graham’s classic The Intelligent Investor or following the life and career of Warren Buffett, he has continually prioritized learning. To this day, he counts the fast-paced nature of the financial world and the research required to stay on top of it as some of his favorite aspects of his work.
Brad isn’t afraid of change or new experiences, and his path to Foster & Motley reflects that. His work with the firm focuses on client mutual fund portfolios. He has experience in a number of specialized financial areas, preparing him to meet the often complex needs of his clients. From 2006 to 2010, Brad worked at Mountjoy Chilton Medley LLP, a regional CPA firm, where he prepared corporate tax returns and conducted financial statement audits for a number of privately held clients in the area. He also obtained his CPA during his time there.
In 2011, Brad relocated to Columbus, Ohio where he worked as a Senior Tax Accountant at GBQ Partners, and in 2013 he earned an MBA degree in Finance from the Fisher College of Business at The Ohio State University. When he came to Foster & Motley in 2014, he was drawn in by the firm’s culture and priority of putting client needs first. Just as he likes to educate himself, he thoroughly enjoys helping clients to understand and navigate their financial realities. Most days, his work doesn’t feel like work at all.
Brad is also busy learning in his family life, as he raises two young sons and a daughter with his wife, Jennifer. When it comes to looking to the future with his family, Brad is combining learning and embracing new experiences, and knows that just as it does in his work, it will help them to build a strong foundation.
