With more than 15 years of compliance experience, Eric Kiely has operated as a senior compliance leader and strategic partner to executive management, risk committees, and department leads. His career ranges from an international bank to a regional bank, from a large broker-dealer to a small broker-dealer, and from a retail RIA to an institutional RIA, which gives him a broad view of how different firms serve their clients and work with regulators. Eric sees compliance as a partnership with every department and aims to help the firm protect the trust its clients place in it.
Eric joined Foster & Motley in 2026 and has over 20 years of financial industry experience. He began his career in 2006 with Citigroup/Smith Barney. From 2009 through 2025, he held a variety of compliance positions with Cincinnati-based financial institutions, including Western & Southern, Fifth Third Securities, and Fund Evaluation Group, where he earned the IACCP® designation and previously held his Series 7, 24, 63, and 66 FINRA licenses. He remains active in the compliance community through industry conferences, professional organizations, and continuing education opportunities. Eric currently serves as Foster & Motley’s Co-Chief Compliance Officer (CCO) and will assume full CCO duties on January 1, 2027.
Eric and his wife Katie reside in Villa Hills, Kentucky, with their four sons, Landon, Logan, Nolan, and Nathan. Eric enjoys spending time with his family and is active in youth sports as a coach for his sons’ activities. Outside of work, he enjoys traveling, golfing, boating at Lake Cumberland, and volunteering at church and local community organizations, supporting causes that serve those in need.
